*What started as a 4-H project showing goats at local fairs has evolved over the years into a continually growing line of the best bath and body care products you can get anywhere.

*What started with two insanely cute Nubian goats has grown to a herd that we maintain in the 50-60 animal range at any given time.

*What started with a few 8 pound batches of soap a week has grown into at least ten 32 pound batches each week plus a multitude of other amazing body care products.

*What started as a hobby has become a passion and a way of life!

Here’s how it happened: when my daughter Hillary was about 8 she began showing goats at the local fairs. You can only show female goats as babies and as dry yearlings - then they need to be shown as a milker. To become a milker the goat needs to have babies of course and then the babies are so cute you just can’t get rid of them so two goats becomes SEVERAL more!.... And so on and so on until you have a herd of approximately 50-60 pampered goats.

I was a single mom at the time and worked full time at a job I was not invested in. I tried making a batch of soap with a fellow goat owner and friend and was totally hooked. From that one batch back in 1997 I knew I would do this for a living one day and also knew that some day I would have my own shop to sell the products in. Looking back to the days when I made one small batch at a time all the little pots and molds look so “cute”. The magic is still there however - it never gets old turning over that mold and out comes this perfect batch of soap. It’s like unwrapping a present!

Enter Peter Corriveau and his son Caleb: Peter is an archaeologist who married into the goat business. We were married in a barn he built in May of 2003. He built this barn, that now houses our retail shop expansion and goats, over one of the snowiest/cold winters in recent history.

When we moved to Nottingham, NH, I continued work at the local school for one year while Peter worked on the OLD farmhouse we had purchased in 2001. The next June we were both at the soap business full time. We still produce all of our products on the farm in our 1800’s farmhouse kitchen. There is no mechanization to the process except a stick blender! I make all the products and packaging is mostly done by us ...sometimes by close friends or family members. We use the cold kettle process for all soaps and goat milk is in all of the soaps we produce. We can guarantee that any goat milk product on this site and in our shop contains only the goat milk from this farm.

All our goats are hand milked twice each day. We are pretty particular about their care such as certified organic hay and the best grain. They get fresh sheets (clean shavings) every week or more often if necessary, new sneakers (trimmed hooves) on a regular basis, cookies after each meal (alfalfa cube pieces after they are milked), and plenty of human interaction. We maintain a herd of mostly Saanen dairy goats and Arapawas which are a rare breed.

Our goal for the future is to keep adding the products you’d like to see. We don’t ever plan on getting huge and selling the company. We enjoy what we do and I think that shines through in our products and our service to you. Our goal is to continually create superior products that our customers feel confident using on themselves and their families. It is important to us to create a strong connection between our customers, our craft and ourselves.

One final note; Farming is hard work! It is definitely a lifestyle choice and not for everyone. For instance - we don’t watch TV because we just don’t have the time. Our days usually run from 6 am - 10 pm. You are on call 24/7 and the sacrifices are many..... but the rewards...magical!

Thanks for stopping by.
